Let’s see and analyze the SSC docs of CGL-2012 and from CGL-2013. You will get some idea what happened to this result.

Please open the attached docs of Result CGL-2012 and Result CGL-2013, you would see that they haven't revealed tentative vacancies in 2013.
Now check the number of candidates they called in both the years, in 2012(List-1 vacancy: 3385) SSC called 5619 candidates whereas in 2013(List-1 vacancy: Not given)
SSC called 8613 candidates{By using 2012 formula they called 1.6 candidates on 1 interview post vacancy, So in 2013 according to 2012 formula post must be
around 5150(which is same as given in RTI filed by one Mr.Prateek Kumar, and Personnel ministry’s reply F.No.15/1/2013-CSI(A) on 7th November 2013)}
Similarly for list-3(Non-interviewed post) 2012(vacancy: 10594) SSC called 19306 candidates whereas in 2013(Vacancy: not given) SSC called 20727 candidates. (By using
2012 formula they called 1.8 candidates for 1 non-interview post vacancy, so in 2013 according to 2012 formula post must be around 11400)
Similarly you can analyze the data for other List-2 & list-4.
Even when you will do analysis on cut-off, I suggest you to won't dive from top floor after seeing the steep hike.

The cut-off shoots up by 75 marks for UR and similarly for OBC it shoots up by 76.75 marks.
After Analysis it's clear that the vacancy compared to 2012 to 2013increased except for List-2(not much) and for List-4(steep decrease) decreases.
So, please don't say some people do reduces the post in all the List/departments.
Here is one thing to understand that there might be two/three reasons for this shocking result.
Definitely different questions arises in our mind when sudden change happened.
1.Either the Candidates performed very hard so, that the cutoff become 424.5 in 2013 from 349 in 2012
OR
2.There would be Super class cheating happened on a big level like in one city or centre in tier-2 without any noise.
OR
3.Might be internal trading goin on inside SSC.
I know pointing at someone is very easy here I’m not pointing SSC, these all just are possibilities of a SHOCKING CGL CUT-OFF.
I regular visit many groups but I haven't found much folks telling their score above 425.5(UR) OR 395.75(OBC).
Where are all these genius? OR most of them belong to one center/city?
