General Intelligence + Reasoning: General
Intelligence or Reasoning of SSC exams are normally quite easy. You can
easily score more than 70% marks if you have prepared well. RS Agarwal
books are very good for SSC Reasoning
paper.
General Awareness: The standard of general awareness in SSC exam is good so you need to prepare very well to score high marks in this section. General awareness of SSC consists of conventional GK and a few
questions on
current affairs as well. For current affairs
you can visit this website and you should also go through last few
months good quality monthly magazines such as CSR & PD. For
conventional GK Manorama
Year book, NCERT books and Mani Ram Agarwal GK books are sufficient.
Quantitative Aptitude: Quantitative aptitude mainly consists of arithmetic based questions. You should study from 10th standard books and RS Agarwal book which is best for SSC exams.
English Comprehension: English paper is not very tough and any average student can easily score good marks in this section.
Other Points to remember:
Negative Marking: There will be negative marking of 0.25 marks for each wrong answer in Tier-I. So while attempting the paper be careful about that
Overall Score: As it’s only a preliminary exam and number of candidates to be selected is quite high therefore if you can score anything above 60% in this exam you will have very bright chance of going in to the next stage.
