There is no point in posting anything on CGLE 2013. Neither the SSC nor CAT appears to be interested in quick disposal
of the case. The fate of thousands of candidates continues to hang in
balance. From FB posts I understand that the Third party has effectively
withdrawn from the case and they have taken the easy way out after
providing effective leadership for over two months. They are a group of
SSC candidates and I was rather surprised that they had sustained the
momentum for so long. The SSC aspirants are from diverse backgrounds and
regions and after a few weeks they tend to look after only their
interests. Nobody can blame them either. They want jobs and not
agitations and court cases.
I only wish that SSC officers
realize that this could be the beginning of the end of an organization
which stood out, along with the UPSC, as the only credible recruiting
agencies in the government sector.
The end to the CGL 2013 stalemate is nowhere in sight, thanks to CAT and SSC.
It is time the DoPT appoints a Committee of Experts to make suggestions
on streamlining SSC Examinations in national interest. With the
political executive not in the picture, after announcement of Elections,
the ball is squarely in the court of senior officers of DoPT. I hope
they will rise to the occasion.
Unfortunately, I have no
suggestion to offer to the candidates of CGLE 2013. They are suffering
for no fault of their own and it looks like there will be no immediate
end to their suffering.
I wish I am proved wrong by CAT and SSC
and that a decision, whatever it may be, will emerge shortly though
there is no such indication of it as of now.
