1.Inspector in Central Bureau of narcotics:

Job Responsibilities:

The Headquarter of CBN is located at Gwalior(M.P)
This is a highly Adventurous job as it involves field work.
You may be posted in Cultivation division or in Preventive Division.

Cultivation Division- Neemuch, Mandsaur, Jaora, Kota, Bareilly etc.

Preventive Division- Mumbai, Chennai, Kolkata, Indore, Jaipur, Lucknow.

For cultivation division, you will be given an extra payment of Rs1000/day.

Monitoring of poppy cultivation aspects such as licensing of cultivators, measurement of poppy fields, the collection of opium and supervising of the Sub Inspectors. You may also be posted into Preventive & Intelligence Cell (P&I Cell) of CBN.
You will have great power in hand. Since you have to deal with wrong people and smugglers, the job is quite hectic and stressful.You will make enemies but you will be highly respected by society.It is a uniform job with 3 stars at the shoulder.

Work location:

You would mostly be posted into any of the three opium growing states of India namely Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, and Rajasthan.You might get posted in villages also.

Promotion (Career Growth):

After 15 years you will be promoted to District opium officer.

Transfer:

Interstate Transfer will take place and there is no Stability.

Salary:

Approx. 44,900 Rs in 7th pay commission

2.Sub-Inspector in Central Bureau of narcotics:

Job Responsibilities:

The Headquarter of CBN is located at Gwalior(M.P)
This is a highly Adventurous job as it involves field work.The main work is to keep an eye on the production of opium or other Psychotropic substances and to prevent its illegal production.
Taking samples from factories and medical shops and to verify it.
He has the power to seize the stocks and can take anybody into custody if found guilty, he can arrest and detain also.
He has to work with local police.

Cultivation Division- Neemuch, Mandsaur, Jaora, Kota, Bareilly etc.

Preventive Division- Mumbai, Chennai, Kolkata, Indore, Jaipur, Lucknow.

Work location:
you would mostly be posted into any of the three opium growing states of India namely Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, and Rajasthan.You might get posted in villages also.

Promotion (Career Growth):
Promotion to the level of Inspector is in less than 5 years based on internal exam and performances.It is a uniform job with 2 stars at the shoulder.

Salary :
2400 grade pay
The salary is near to 29,000 per month.
